The first element is a gold-plated choker with small zirconia.
The second element is an assemblage necklace featuring a handmade resin frame with Countess of Castiglione vintage photo, gold-plated filigree cubes, and an antique-style resin clock pendant.
Sculpture jewelry in resin, print on little canvas, polymer clay, golden plated and other ecological materials.
The third element is a long, adjustable, double-wrap Backelite necklace.

HISTORY :
Virginia Oldoini, Countess of Castiglione
Born in Florence in 1837 as Virginia Oldoini, the Countess of Castiglione was one of the most fascinating and controversial figures of nineteenth-century Europe. Cousin of Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour, she was sent to Paris with a mission far from merely social: to support, through her charisma and her relationships, the cause of Italian unity at the court of Napoleon III.
Thus her beauty became a diplomatic instrument, her grace a subtle weapon, her gaze a political message. In an era in which official power was denied to women, she knew how to exercise an invisible, refined, and dangerously effective one. Her presence helped create that favorable climate which would later lead to the Franco-Piedmontese alliance decisive for the Risorgimento.
But reducing the Countess to a mere pawn would be an injustice. She was the artist of herself, the director of her own image. Her beauty — celebrated throughout Europe — was not only harmony of lines and fairness of skin: it was theatricality, construction, vision. She had herself portrayed in hundreds of photographs, anticipating by decades the modern concept of self-representation. Every pose was a mask, every dress a symbol, every gaze a narrative.
Original to excess, extravagant to the point of legend, the Countess inhabited the stage like a living work of art.
She loved disguises, scenic attire, symbolic details: she had herself immortalized as a queen, as a penitent, as an almost spectral figure in her later years, when she chose isolation and mystery.
She was aware of the passing of time and challenged it through photography, attempting to halt the instant, to dominate the image, to render her youth eternal. In this sense she was extraordinarily modern: she intuited before others the power of constructed identity, of personal myth.
The Countess of Castiglione was not merely a very beautiful woman. She was an enigma. A political actress in a world of men. A muse who knew how to become an author. A creature who was the muse of herself and transformed her own life into representation, and representation into legend.
Even today, in the silence of her photographs, her gaze continues to question us — proud, melancholic, irreducibly unique.
We can still say today that the Countess of Castiglione was the first influencer in History.
